DIH-HERO Start 1.2.2021

The main idea for this TEE project is to construct the physical machine that can be used to test the functionalities of ROPCA on patients in hospitals. The ROPCA system can by using ultrasound of both hands and wrists, detect signs of early rheumatoid arthritis (RA) andmonitor disease activity in patients with established RA. Further, the system can diagnose and monitor the more prevalent disease hand osteoarthritis, thereby also giving and explanation for the hand pain in patients with no signs of RA. Currently, these tasks are solved by doctors specialized in rheumatology Health care is under pressure, more and more are being referred to hospitals. The target group is hospitals that will be able to provide rapid RA diagnostics and monitoring, more patients through the department, reduce waiting lists and reduce expenses. At the same time deliver high quality monitoring of the RA patient, who can choose the time of check themself and does not have to take time off work.

This DIH-HERO proposal is a collaboration between a Danish robotics company, one of the world’s leading universities in healt care robotics SDU and Slovenian companies of software development NORIK and production of parts ELVEZ.

Our role in the project is the production of a robotic table, which we will certify according to the medical standard ISO 13485.

Adopting Agile Project Management Practices in Non-Software SMEs: A Case Study of a Slovenian Medium-Sized Manufacturing Company | 2020

The main contribution of the paper is in showing that manufacturing SMEs can also successfully adopt some APM practices and combine them with their standard project management approach, without a high financial input and without an extensive reorganization. APM practices, even when implemented separately and not as part of a structured APM methodology, can be very beneficial and contribute to all three pillars of sustainable project management: economic, social, and environmental. Since the case company and many other SMEs can never go fully agile because of limited resources, adopting only some APM practices represents a good alternative for them.
